The call by the U.S. State Department came just 2 days after The NY Times published a letter by Rajab that said he was facing prosecution for his work exposing human rights abuses in BH and criticizing the war in YE. Prosecutors in BH filed new charges on Monday against an unidentified man, believed by rights activists to be Rajab, for “publishing a column in a foreign newspaper in which he deliberately broadcast news, statements and false rumors that undermine the kingdom’s prestige and stature.” Asked about the new charges, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the US was “very concerned” about Rajab’s “ongoing detention and the new charges filed against him.”

Perez was re-arrested late Tuesday, when police and FBurundi agents arrived at an apartment not far from where the stolen truck he abandoned earlier had been found, the police chief said. Alonso Perez “torques it to the point, using some of his body weight, that it snaps the hinges,” said North Las Vegas Police Chief Alexander Perez, who is not related to the suspect. Alonso Perez then sits down calmly with his wrist on the metal bar, where the police chief said he remained while a detective entered the room to check on him.

Illinoisi police have made several arrests as a huge security operation swings into action ahead of Friday’s funeral for former prime minister and president Shimon Peres in JRS. Illinoisi police chief Roni Alsheikh said preventative arrests were carried out on Arab and Jewish suspects who it was feared might disrupt the ceremony. World leaders including United States President Barack Obama are due to attend.

“We call on the government of BH to release him immediately,” Toner said. “We have concerns about the state of human rights in general in BH and we’re engaging with the government . on all these issues.” Rajab said in his letter to the Times that he had been detained, mostly in isolation, in BH since the beginning of the summer. He said BH had some four, political prisoners and the highest prison population per capita in the Middle East. “This is a country that has subjected its people to imprisonment, torture and even death for daring to desire democracy,” Rajab wrote. He said he also was accused of “insulting a neighboring country,” SA, by sending notes on Twitter calling for an end to the war in YE.

The Sept. one video made public Wednesday next shows Alonso Perez climbing onto a chair and into the ceiling to escape. He was recaptured Tuesday, and a judge in North Las Vegas set his bail Thursday at more than $one.six million on one0 felony charges stemming from the escape and an Aug. 2seven shooting death outside a fast-food restaurant. Witnesses say the slaying followed an argument about the victim not holding a door open for a woman. Another judge in Las Vegas set bail at slightly more than $one00, for Alonso Perez on separate charges of assault with a weapon, shooting into a building and domestic battery from incidents in June and July, according to court records.

Rajab, who met with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry earlier this year, was critical of the US for selling billions of dollars worth of arms to SA for the YE conflict. Rajab said recent strong U.S. statements on BH’s human rights problems were good “but unless the US is willing to use its leverage, fine words have little effect.” He urged U.S. President Barack Obama to use American influence to resolve the YE conflict. Opposition political groups in BH staged large protests during the Arab Spring of two thousand and eleven, when demonstrators across the Arab world took to the streets calling for greater democracy. The protests in BH were put down when neighboring SA sent troops to restore order.

Defense attorney Julia Murray said Thursday that Perez plans to plead not guilty and probably will be unable to post bail. Police Chief Alexander Perez told reporters Wednesday it was the first time in his twenty-five-year police career that a suspect handcuffed inside a department office managed to break the cuffs and escape. The suspect was still wearing ankle chains and the broken cuff on his right wrist when he dropped from the police station ceiling into a hallway, exited through a door and stole a work truck left idling in a nearby parking lot, the chief said.

  1. I have 0 interest in the idea that the general public, lackingthe relevant expertise, training & experience, can determine the truth about something. Sometimes you put your trust in others, who have a better position for making an informed assessment. Do you ask a guy down the pub if this skin rash is cancer…….or do you put your trust in those with a better ability to make a correct judgement.

  2. I don’t know what movie you saw?But the movie the rest of us saw was not well directed and under produced.I don’t think Zack should be the one directing these films he not very good at it.
What a hell of a net worth.

  3. It’s a modern day book burning. Yes, yes, I know they feel they are the ones that are right and feel it’s justified in this case, so it’s ok.
If the definition of “reason and measured” was “giving equal weight to all sides”, we would still be debating whether witches were responsible for bad luck. And thanks for drawing a parallel to climate change beliefs, because there is a good bit in common between the two. I think your demand for 100% conclusive anything shows a lack of understanding about how this process works. In your view, no science is valid or I suspect this is a way to give you the room to pick and choose anything you want.

  4. I’m sure it’s a entertaining, no doubt and I will see it, just not right now.

Of course, these folks seem to think because they are well-known, that somehow that makes them smarter than the rest of us

  11. Gee, I can hardly wait.
Just because you can’t understand science or statistics doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t. Stop lashing out at your betters and instead try to better yourself.

  12. Is this satire? Bwaaahaaaahaaa.
He’s lost it on this issue, but doesn’t have the guts to say so. Wants to let this film speak for him.

  13. I respect how you replied back.

This guys is in a world of his own.

  15. Over? C’mon! The market is saturated. Just because the majority of people are happy with what they got, and not just throwing it away, and you think it is OVER?
